Our educational approach is simple, based on playing, singing, practical activities such as drawing, and social interaction as part of the transition from home to school. We empower the independent learner. We strive to make the transition from home to school and further to primary education seamless.
We endeavor for human values based program of character development designed to develop and nurture one’s holistic potential and innate human goodness. We believe that human beings have an extra-ordinary inner worth that should be nurtured to fruition and fullness.
Our Pre-School
The school is within the complex that houses the Sri Sathya Sai Prema Mandira where activities fostering values in human life occur regularly.
There is a Music school, Ananda Tarangini, where vocal and instrumental music are taught to learners by maestros in Carnatic music. We also have the “Sri Sathya Sai Bala Vikas” program at our premises, based on the divine dictum – “the end of Education is Character”. Bala Vikas means blossoming of human excellence. The focus is on bringing an intrinsic transformation within each child.
The Classes are conducted free of cost to direct the children of today – the torchbearers of tomorrow’s society, into a path of self-enquiry and self-discovery. Through the judicious use of simple teaching techniques such as prayer, group singing, meditation, storytelling and group activities, the Bala Vikas GURUS encourage the children to become conscious of the latent potential within and orient their lives on the trajectory of human excellence.
Our school is also known as Tapovanam School and is the best LKG/UKG school in Tumkur.
Our Story
We the trustees at the Abhyudaya Public Charitable Trust, envisioned a Pre school to inculcate human values during the formative years of education and hence prepare the kids to face the real challenges of life. In this respect, we have designed the preschool with ample indoor space and vast out door play area for children to play, explore and learn themselves with social interaction with peers and teachers.
The result is the Schools @ Tapovanam : Balavikas, Lil lighthouse Preschool and Ananda Tarangini Music School at Sri Sathya Sai Tapovanam Tumkur in the heart of Tumkur City with the theme “Where Education Meets Culture”.

Helping Your Child Explore, Grow, & Learn
The school is designed to keep children happy in a safe environment to explore his or her full potential.
The classrooms are spacious with natural ventilation and an abundance of sunlight. There are open spaces to encourage activity-based self-learning under able supervision.
There is an ample outdoor play area with natural grass for physical activities and learning in the midst of nature. We have adequate teachers and support staff to constantly supervise the children and to aid their learning.
